Halloween has come and gone, and it was a fun one. Leif really understood all the fun of dressing up and going to strangers houses for candy. I think the best way to tell the story of Halloween this year is to tell it with pictures.
We start out the day by carving our pumpkin.

The boys like to help. First thing we have to do is get this top off so we can clean out the inside.

Everyone helps clean out the inside.

Now that it is all cleaned out we draw out what we want to carve. Leif has his own carving tool (yep it’s kid safe!) and we get to work.

It’s a happy pumpkin!

Kalven was getting bored so he went to go play with the car.

Here is the apprentice carver and his final product. What a cheerful looking guy! Leif looks pretty happy too.

We heard some crying from the garage, looks like Kalven is still learning how to exit the car.

All is better, Kalven poses next to the happy pumpkin.

Aleece and I dresses up as Roman Citizens. Yep, we were dressed up all night long. It was fun!

Leif went as Diego, his favorite TV show character.

Kalven went as baby Jaguar, another character from the favorite TV show. (I know, it’s more lion looking…you have to use you imagination a little. That’s what this night is all about anyway!)

Kalven did not really like the paws mittens and got upset.

Here we go, first house is Grandma and Grandpas!

Kalven feels better about the paws mittens now that he can wander around outside.

Here is Leif waiting patiently at our second house of the night.

They do not get may Trick-or-Treaters in this neighborhood and the people are all happy to see someone. The kept giving us candy! Leifs hands were full so here they are trying to give some to Aleece as she is snapping pictures.

Leif is getting this whole door to door thing, it’s fun!

Aleece took a quick picture, I was not quite ready but Kalven thought he was supposed to kiss me. What a nice surprise!

AAAahhhhhh. Look at that bag, it’s bursting! What a fun and profitable night.

Summer and Jaxson stopped by to Trick-or-Treat.

It was a fun night. Aleece and I even got to have some fun. The boys stayed at Grandma and Grandpas house and we got to go out in costume. I think this is the start of a really good tradition.
