When Kalven was born Leif was not sure what to think. Then after a few months Leif was sort of jealous, sort of bored with Kalven…he just could not play at all. Then Kalven began to crawl and become mobile. Leif did not really like that much because Kalven started getting into Leif’s things, and taking a lot of attention because babies are so cute! Then things got even worse, Kalven learned to walk, attention was given to the cute little walking baby and walking means Kalven can get into Leifs things even faster and Leif has a harder time getting away.
Well, now Kalven has been walking for a few months and is much better, Kalven is even starting to climb like his bigger monkey climber brother! Leif is starting to play games with Kalven and is even sharing his toys (well most of the time he is sharing…ok, so Leif only shares once in a while, but it’s a start!). Leif usually likes playing with his little brother. I would even start to call Leif and Kalven friends as well as brothers.
And since it’s been a while since I have posted pictures here are some from a day that the boys and I went out back to play in the leaves. It was windy that day and most of the leaves blew away, but there were still enough to make a fun time.
The kids are still not quite used to a back yard that does not have water toys.
But they soon realize the fun that a nice fall day offers.
The boys started out in separate directions but then Kalven saw how much fun Leif was having in the leaves and went to join him.
Leif is showing Kalven some things to do.
And how much fun just running in the leaves is.
Kalven decides to taste the leaves…
And I don’t think he liked it.
Leif is just loving these leaves, I wish we had a big pile out there!
Kalven started to escape so I asked Leif to go get him.
Kalven did not want to come back and fell to the ground. So Leif decides to push him along.
Kalven comes back to the “fun side”.
Leif starts to wonder why the Trees are letting go of their leaves so he goes over to one and asks if it wants its leaves back.
The Tree tells Leif that it’s ok, he can play with the leaves, the Tree is done with them for now.
Kalven kept trying to escape and play in the neighbors stuff so he gets a time out.
Leif is getting a little tired from all the running around and just sits and plays.
And acts cute.
Kalven wants to know what’s going on without him.
And he gets right up close.
Then decides a wrestling match with his brother is a good idea.
Now Kalven is getting tired and goes to sit next to a Tree.
Play time out back is so much fun.
