What An Amazing Woman
My wife is an amazing woman. She is a stay at home mom.
At my job I get to work from home pretty much whenever I want. This is nice on days that Aleece works early, or I have an appointment, or if I just want a little extra sleep.
When I work from home I get to hear what goes on during the day. I get to listen to Aleece make up songs with the kids, listen to the kids laugh because they enjoy her singing so much. I get to hear the games Aleece makes up to keep both kids entertained, which is a huge challenge when 1 kid is 7 months and the other kid is almost 3 years. I get to hear how Aleece deals with a crabby kid that will hit her rather than give her a hug. I get to listen to her teach the kids how to make a peanut butter sandwich and I get to hear Aleece sigh a big sigh of relief when a tired kid is finally asleep.
All of these things are truly amazing, but then you have to remember that she does this day after day, over and over, 10-16 hours a day. And even the “bad” days Aleece will say are great days, as long as she can spend it with the kids. On top of this Aleece has the strength to go on a diet and not only follow the diet but kick butt at it! Whenever I try to diet I get crabby, I like my comfort food, but Aleece follows the guidelines and still is happy and cheerful for the kids..
Aleece is very upbeat and happy about staying at home, it was a choice we made together and neither one of us regrets it. I wish I could be a stay at home dad, but that’s not how things work out. I do get to play with the kids at night when Aleece goes to work. Her break away from the kids is to be a server at a restaurant , yep that’s right, her break from parenting the kids is to go parent adults.
Mothers are really great people, they have a difficult job. My wife is a stay at home mom and to me she is the best in the business.
This is the most beautiful love letter I have ever read. I am so proud of you both and I love you dearly. mom
